FACE COVERINGS FOR AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
Effective, December 15, 2021, the Jackson County Board of Education removed the face- covering requirement for our indoor activities occurring in our facilities outside the regular school day. The use of face masks is highly recommended for these events.
To provide clarification, face coverings are still required for all employees, students, and visitors, while indoors, regardless of vaccination status, during the school day. This includes the reasonable extension of the school day for after-school tutoring where students are in a classroom setting.
Face coverings continue to be required on school buses, at all times, including all extracurricular activities.
