This is a reminder that all Jackson County Schools are closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, On Tuesday, May 28th, Jackson County Schools will have a three-hour early dismissal, which is the last day of the school year for all students. If your child rides a bus, the bus will arrive at the drop-off location three hours before the normal drop-off time. As always, you can check the Zonar app to see the exact location of your child’s bus at any given time. Have a safe and wonderful summer!

Good evening RMS 8th Grade Parents, Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to go to the Ripley City Pool tomorrow afternoon for our end of the year celebration. Students should not bring swimming clothes to school tomorrow. We have last minute secured an inflatable double slide (not a water slide) for the afternoon. We hope to see our students tomorrow in spite of the change in plans.

Good evening 8th Grade Parents, this is just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the 8th grade students will walk to the high school for a tour. While touring, the students will visit the library and hear from the librarian about procedures and guidelines regarding the library. The nurse will discuss procedures and policies involving health concerns. The lunch secretary will discuss lunch procedures. Good evening 8th Grade Parents, this message is for those with students traveling to DC on Wednesday, May 8: Students need to arrive at school between 1:45 and 2:15 am. Buses will depart at 3:00. All luggage will be searched by school personnel prior to leaving. Please remember to bring a packed lunch in a disposable bag. All medications should be placed in a Ziplock bag and clearly labeled with the student’s name. Medications will be given to the bus chaperone when the student arrives at school. Please pack a rain poncho or jacket. Rain is in the forecast. If you are traveling with us and leaving a car at the school, please park along the chain link fence. Can’t wait to travel!
