First grade has been busy! They have been studying the layers of the earth and made a clay model of the earth. They have learned how magma is in the mantle and with heat pressure and time, volcanoes erupt spewing out lava. When geysers erupt, they spew out water. They also made postcards that will be sent to space on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket! Once the postcards return from space, it will be stamped "flown to space" then mailed back to the student. How cool is that? Way to go, smart kids!
